The first time I tasted pizza from #28 Pizza was at someone's apartment who had it delivered from 28 Carmine Street in the West Village of NYC - hence called #28. Now, they have 2 other spots - one located on 176 Second Avenue around 11th Street in the East Village and another at 196 Spring Street in SoHo, NYC.
Their pizzas are really thin and you can taste the baked in wood fired oven from its charred crust. The crust is thin and I just love all the varieties they offer. The cheese with mushroom and truffles is one of my favorites. They come oval shaped instead of round.
This is the medium size pizza with 2 different toppings. As you can see, my favorite mushroom/truffled part is on the left side as seen above.
